Test and Development Chemist

This new position at OMI will support and promote growth in our odor control products lines. The chemist will be working with active ingredients comprised primarily of plant derivatives. Individual will set up and operate a lab providing support, new product development (R&D), and QA/QC development and implementation for manufacturing the odor control products. Technical support for field sales and customers is likely.

The position is expected to interface with and direct external analytical labs used by OMI. Position will also act as a liaison, assuring regulatory compliance with EPA, FTC, FDA and State Agencies.

Candidates should have:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering.
• Advanced degree is desirable.
• Familiarity with emulsion science.
• Familiarity with QC procedures in liquid product manufacturing.
• Solid, hands-on ability.
• Skills in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to perform as a self-starter with moderate supervision.
• Capability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Competence with microbial science is a plus.

Position is located in our manufacturing facility in Rising Sun, Ind., (suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio).
